VW Transporter Sportline

Born out of the same lineage that spawned the classic Volkswagen Type 2 van, the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline is a top of the range LCV based on the German companys famous T platform. The Transporter Sportline uses the T5 version of this LCV platform, the fifth incarnation of the T.

While the Sportlines ancestor, the Type 2, has become an icon of the hippy movement and symbolic of the swinging sixties, the Sportline balances aspects of business and pleasure perfectly. With a professional looking front end and a maximum load length of 2943mm, this van not only pulls its weight but also looks the part.

So that is the business side dealt with, what about the pleasure? Well, in tests on BBCs Top Gear program, the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline was voted the fastest van in Britain and a joy to drive. Perfect for introducing an element of fun back into driving for a living.

The Sportline features 18-inch weight rated alloy wheels as standard, as well as a roof spoiler, chrome trim and body-coloured bumpers. Standard features under the bonnet include a Turbocharged Direct Injection engine, capable of generating 400 Newton Metres of torque at 2,000 rpm.
