Fiat are very proud of their Scudoand have devoted considerable time and energy into remodelling the vehicle several times over its life span. Fiat even enlisted Formula 1 superstar Michael Schumacher to star in an expensive advertising campaign for the Scudo, proof if proof be needed of their faith in the product.
After 12 years of loyal service by the Scudo, Fiat introduced the second generation model of the vehicle in 2007. Modelled on the larger Fiat Ducato and with a cargo volume of between 5 and 7 cubic metres, the new and improved Scudobecame a far more attractive choice for those who expect that little bit more from their commercial vehicles.
With the 2007 Scudo, Fiat turned away from the 2.0l petrol engine that had been made available for the 2004 version of the Scudo. Instead, three diesel engines were available as options, a 1.6l JTD engine and 2.0l Multijet and Multijet DPF engines, capable of producing 89hp, 120hp and 140hp respectively.
